The GrowthDeFi Ecosystem

This post aims to explains how each part of the GrowthDeFi ecosystem works.

GRO

GRO is the core token of the Growth DeFi ecosystem and everything created in the ecosystem is meant to add value and utility to GRO.

GRO can be used for:

  • stkGRO
  • GRO Yield
  • GRO/gROOT Farming Pool

GRO benefits through performance fees from:

  • gROOT
  • gROOT Compounding Pools
  • GRO Bridge
  • Cross-chain strategy tokens
  • Cross-chain PMTs

stkGRO

stkGRO is the tokenized representation of having GRO staked, it has governance rights and receives a share of all the profits generated in all chains.

There is a 10% fee whenever stkGRO is minted or redeemed.

GRO YIELD

GRO Yield allows GRO holders to earn a continous stream of BNB by locking their GRO for an specific timeframe (either 1 month or 1 year) on BSC (Binance Smart Chain), there is the possibility to withdraw before the timelock timeframe ends but in that scenario the user would have to pay a fee to the GRO Treasury (to benefit stkGRO holders).

No fees are paid if the user waits till the timelock ends.

The BNB distributed in the GRO Vault comes from performance fees on strategy tokens.

GRO/gROOT Farming Pool

To have deep liquidity for GRO and gROOT on BSC there are two incentivized pools on BSC:

  • BNB/gROOT
  • GRO/gROOT

Each pool has 100 gROOT/month allocated to it.

gROOT Compounding Pools

BNB/gROOT and GRO/gROOT liquidity providers can choose to either stake their LP tokens in the manual pool (the user manually claims the farmed gROOT) or the compounding pool (the contract compounds the gROOT into more LP tokens several times per day to get a higher APY).

There is a 5% performance fee on the compounding pool which goes to buybacking GRO for stkGRO and distributing BNB to the GRO Vault.

GRO Bridge

The first two chains supported in the GRO bridge will be Ethereum and BSC.

Having a functional bridge makes it possible to use GRO on different chains, it burns GRO and it generates extra GRO for stkGRO holders.

There is a 3% swap fee when swapping GRO from one chain to another:

1.5% is burnt and 1.5% goes to stkGRO holders.

Cross-chain strategy tokens & PMTs

Strategy tokens and PMTs are meant to be an easy way to get yield on top of your holdings, the gROOT Treasury will use them to generate yield, buyback gROOT and distribute BNB to the gROOT Vault.

All strategy tokens have a performance fee, used to buyback GRO.

PMTs V2 and the new strategy tokens will launch first in BSC because of the low fees and high yield opportunities compared to other chains.

gROOT

There are three key components about gROOT:

  • gROOT Treasury
  • gROOT Incentivized Farming Pools
  • gROOT Harvest

gROOT Treasury

It focuses on liquidity mining and using the farming incentives for one of the following:

  • Compound the treasury
  • Buyback gROOT
  • Sell some farmed tokens for BNB and send it to the gROOT Harvest

gROOT Incentivized Farming Pools

The first pool to be incentivized will be the BNB/gROOT pool, launching in a few days with a 150 gROOT/month allocation.

Once the GRO bridge is deployed a GRO/gROOT pool will be added with a 100 gROOT/month allocation and the BNB/gROOT pool will receive 100 gROOT/month (instead of 150 gROOT/month).

The purpose of the farming pools are:

  • Have deep liquidity for gROOT and GRO
  • Increased utility for gROOT and GRO

gROOT Harvest

gROOT Harvest allows gROOT holders to earn a continous stream of BNB by locking their gROOT for an specific timeframe (either 1 month or 1 year) on BSC (Binance Smart Chain), there is the possibility to withdraw before the timelock timeframe ends but in that scenario the user would have to pay a fee to the gROOT Treasury (taking the gROOT out of circulation).

No fees are paid if the user waits till the timelock ends.

The BNB distributed in gROOT Harvest comes from the liquidity mining holdings of the gROOT Treasury.
